The owners

Two names on the paper.

Chad Jones, CEO. Curtis McKinney, President. They hang AMI NGX Curve jukeboxes, they own the boxes, they pay the licenses. This is who you call.

Chad Jones, CEO of CrankCast Jukebox

CEO, CrankCast Jukebox · Energy operations executive

Chad Jones

Chad Jones is a seasoned executive and route operations expert who thrives at the intersection of industrial scale and dynamic hospitality technology. Currently serving as both the CEO of CrankCast Jukebox and an energy operations executive, Jones has built a career on identifying operational efficiencies and transforming complex logistical networks into highly profitable ventures.

His entry into the route business began in the traditional vending machine industry — a demanding sector defined by constant physical inventory management, expiration dates, and mechanical maintenance. While mastering the gritty logistics of geographically scattered routes, Jones recognized a fundamental shift in the hospitality space: the true value of a venue was no longer in dispensing physical products, but in controlling and elevating the room's atmosphere. Patrons wanted a collective, interactive experience, and the traditional vending model was too static to provide it.

Acting on this insight, Jones executed a massive operational pivot, trading snack coils and physical inventory for interactive digital interfaces. As CEO of CrankCast Jukebox, he transitioned his route management expertise into the digital entertainment space. By securing a powerhouse partnership with AMI Entertainment, Jones eliminated the constraints of traditional vending. He replaced mechanical headaches and stale inventory with instant music updates, infinite digital libraries, and seamless user experiences that put the power of the room's energy directly into the hands of the patrons.

Under his leadership, CrankCast has rapidly evolved from a visionary pivot into a growing footprint in the digital jukebox market. Combining his executive-level background in energy operations with strategic route scaling, Jones has successfully expanded CrankCast's operations across six states and continues to drive the company's aggressive nationwide expansion.

Curtis McKinney, President of CrankCast Jukebox

President, CrankCast Jukebox · Founder, Cranked Up Records · Author & Broadcaster

Curtis McKinney

Curtis McKinney is a multifaceted entertainment entrepreneur, award-winning broadcaster, and route operations executive who has spent over two decades shaping the live event, radio, and digital hospitality industries. Operating out of Carlsbad, New Mexico, McKinney has built an extensive portfolio that bridges the gap between raw entertainment talent and scalable business infrastructure.

His broadcasting career is defined by massive syndication and critical acclaim. McKinney co-created and hosted the nationally syndicated radio programs Cranked Up Live and Cranked Up Country, which aired across more than 200 stations worldwide. Though he has since retired from syndicated broadcasting, he remains an influential voice on the airwaves, currently co-hosting Cranked Up Country Nights on 105.1 KWMW. His work has earned heavy industry recognition, including the New Mexico Broadcasters Association (NMBA) DJ of the Year in 2013, Interview of the Year, and a three-time winner of Specialty Show of the Year — claiming the latter award in back-to-back years for 2023 and 2024. His impact has also drawn nominations for DJ of the Year and Show of the Year across major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and the Texas Country Music Awards.

Beyond the microphone, McKinney has a proven track record as a powerhouse in live event production and venue management. As the former owner of MSL Productions, LLC, he has produced over 100 live concert events nationwide. This includes the creation and operation of Hawgfest, an annual multi-day festival in Carlsbad that ran for over 17 years and consistently drew crowds exceeding 30,000 attendees. His venue expertise extends to municipal partnerships; through his company Carlsbad Live, LLC, McKinney holds the management contract for the Walter Gerrells Performing Arts Center. He has also successfully developed experiential entertainment, launching the "Don't Scream" haunted house attraction in 2017 and later expanding the concept to Detroit aboard the historic Ste. Claire vessel.

To support emerging artists and maintain control over music distribution, McKinney founded Cranked Up Records. Avoiding the pitfalls of major label systems, the independent label is distributed globally by Virgin Music Group in partnership with The Label Group, providing artists with authentic representation and global reach.

His deep, unfiltered knowledge of the entertainment industry culminated in his success as an author. McKinney wrote 4 AM Truths: Raw Lessons from the Music Industry Shark Tank, a hard-hitting guide to navigating the music business's scams and realities, which achieved a #1 sales category ranking on Amazon. He also authored the psychological thriller The Condemned Mind, showcasing his creative versatility.

Today, as President of CrankCast Jukebox, LLC, McKinney merges his vast entertainment network with strategic route operations. Partnering with co-owner Chad Jones and backed by AMI Entertainment, McKinney is aggressively scaling a high-tech digital jukebox footprint across the United States. By combining his unparalleled understanding of venue atmosphere with cutting-edge digital delivery, he continues to transform how audiences experience music.
